Cycloid gear for micrometer-precise positioning

In machine tool construction, workpieces and tools must be positioned with micrometer accuracy at high speeds. Complete machining in one clamping operation prevents inaccuracies that can creep in due to frequent re-clamping of the workpiece.

The compact cycloid gearboxes from Nabtesco have proven themselves for precise positioning in machine tools. Compared to planetary gearboxes, these work considerably more accurately, with less wear and more reliably due to their design. In addition, cycloid gears with more compact dimensions are sufficient. Axles, tool changers or positioning tables equipped with Nabtesco gearboxes have comparable performance data to those with torque motors – and all this with significantly less effort and lower costs!
